Predoctoral Fellowship Grant

This fellowship is intended to promote a professional career in vertebrate paleontology by allowing the recipient greater freedom to pursue research during the final stages of the doctoral program.


Submission Guidelines

Do NOT e-mail, fax or mail nomination materials to the committee chair. Any materials sent by e-mail, fax or mail will NOT be reviewed.

Current membership in the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology is required to apply for the Predoctoral Fellowship Grant.

Students may apply only once for the Predoctoral Fellowship Grant, typically within 18 months of the completion of their PhD program.

Prize

The total prize money available for the Predoctoral Fellowship Grant prize for 2008 is $2,750 USD. The Predoctoral Fellowship Grant can either be awarded to one individual in its entirety or divided equally between two individuals.

Submissions for this award must be completed by Monday, May 5, 2008 at noon Central Time Zone (USA).
